VGKids to Host Live Poster Making Events.

This summer, local screen-print professionals VGKids will host a spectator-oriented silk screening series dubbed "Live / Print". Audience members are invited to watch as a batch of posters, featuring designs by local businesses, is produced from beginning to end.

According to James Marks, Founder and Creative Director of VGKids, "Screen printing has this sort of magical aura surrounding it, going back to the days of Andy Warhol's Factory. We're inviting people to get a glimpse behind the scenes."

Zingerman's will kick off the series June 15th, with a design to promote the Westside Farmers' Market. Shaman Drum will be on hand July 12th. The series will close in August with an as-of-yet undetermined business partner.

"We're excited our press operators can take the stage with their talents and create an evening that will last in people's minds. The fact that we can team up with some of our favorite businesses at the same time, that really makes it special for us."

Appetizers and wine will be served at these free, family-friendly events.

Friday, June 15th, 7-10 PM. Zingerman's Live / Print.
Thursday, July 12th, 6-9 PM. Shaman Drum Live / Print.
Friday, August 10th, 7-10 PM. TBA Live / Print.
